WoW Forever Codex is a fan-made reference run by one person, not a company. It is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment. If you have a question about anything on this page, you can message me on Reddit.

Nothing that identifies you. There is no sign-up, no contact form and no newsletter, no advertising, and no cookies of any kind.

I do count visits, using Vercel Web Analytics. It records the page you opened, the site you came from, your country and rough area, and which browser, operating system and kind of device you are on. It sets nothing on your device and stores no IP address: visits are counted against a code worked out from the request itself, which is thrown away after a day, so the same person tomorrow is a new number.

That tells me which dungeons people actually look up and whether the talent calculator gets used. It cannot tell me who you are, and it cannot follow you to any other site.

A few settings are saved in your own browser so the site behaves the way you left it. They stay on your device, they are never sent anywhere, and I cannot read them.

• The class and level you picked in the levelling companion.
• Which quests you have ticked off.
• The last five things you opened from the search.
• Which forums you chose to see in the blue tracker.
• Where you were in a dungeon run, until you close the tab.

Clearing your browser data for this site removes all of it. Nothing breaks if you do.

The site is hosted by Vercel, who keep standard server logs that include visitors’ IP addresses, and who also receive the visit counts described above. The domain is registered with Cloudflare, who handle its DNS.

Item, spell and talent icons are loaded from Wowhead’s image server (wow.zamimg.com). Because your browser fetches those images directly, Wowhead receives your IP address and the address of the page you are on. I do not send them anything else, and I get nothing back. Instance artwork comes from Warcraft Wiki (warcraft.wiki.gg), but Vercel fetches and resizes it on the site’s behalf, so the wiki sees Vercel’s servers and not you.

Links out to Ko-fi, Reddit, Imgur and the sources listed in the footer are ordinary links. Those sites only hear from you if you click one.

Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data is held about you, and have it corrected or deleted. In practice there is nothing for me to show you or erase: the visit counts arrive already added up, with nothing in them that points back to a person, so I could not find your visit among them even if you asked me to. The server logs sit with Vercel rather than with me. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.

Visit counting was added on 23 September 2026, and is noted in the Updates page. If anything else changes, I will say so in both places.
