Hunter macros for WoW Forever
Beast Mastery · Marksmanship · Survival
8 macros that make the Hunter easier to play, each with what it does. To use one, copy it, type /macro in the game's chat, click New, pick the question mark icon and a name, paste the text and drag the icon to your action bar. A macro holds up to 255 characters.
Spell names are the ones the English game client uses. Playing in German, French or Spanish? Switch this site to your client's language and the macros follow.
Reading the macros
#showtooltip- Shows the spell's icon, cooldown and tooltip on your action bar, as long as the macro has the question mark icon.
[@mouseover]- The unit under your mouse pointer, on the party or raid frames or in the world. The macro falls back to your target when there is none.
!- A "!" before a spell keeps a second press from switching it off.
/stopcasting- Cancels the spell you are casting, so the next line goes off at once.
Mark, pet and Auto Shot
Opens a fight in one press: marks your target, sends your pet in and starts Auto Shot. The "!" keeps Auto Shot from switching off when it is already running.
#showtooltip Hunter's Mark /cast Hunter's Mark /petattack /cast !Auto ShotMulti-Shot that keeps Auto Shot on
Fires Multi-Shot and makes sure Auto Shot is running, so you never stand idle after a shot. In Forever Multi-Shot shares its cooldown with Aimed Shot. The same two lines work for Aimed Shot, Arcane Shot and your stings.
#showtooltip Multi-Shot /cast !Auto Shot /cast Multi-ShotPet attack, Shift to call it back
Sends your pet at the enemy under your mouse, or at your target when there is none. Hold Shift and press it to call your pet back to you.
/petattack [nomod,@mouseover,harm,nodead][nomod] /petfollow [mod:shift]Call, revive or mend your pet
One button for your pet: it calls your pet when it is not out, revives it when it is dead and heals it otherwise. If your pet died and its body is gone, Call Pet cannot bring it back: hold Shift to revive it.
#showtooltip /cast [@pet,dead][nopet,mod:shift] Revive Pet; [nopet] Call Pet; Mend PetFeign Death, then Freezing Trap
In combat it calls your pet back and feigns death. Once enemies lose interest and you drop out of combat, press again to lay a Freezing Trap at your feet. Traps can only be placed out of combat, which is what the Feign Death is for.
#showtooltip /petfollow /cast [combat] Feign Death; Freezing TrapMelee button
For when something reaches you: starts your melee attack, puts Raptor Strike on your next swing and uses Mongoose Bite when it lights up after you dodge.
#showtooltip /startattack /cast Raptor Strike /cast Mongoose BiteRapid Fire with trinkets
Uses Rapid Fire and both trinkets in one press, so your cooldowns line up. Slot 13 is your top trinket and 14 the bottom one; a trinket with no use effect is simply skipped.
#showtooltip Rapid Fire /cast Rapid Fire /use 13 /use 14Hawk, Shift for Cheetah
Aspect of the Hawk for fighting, or Aspect of the Cheetah for travel while you hold Shift. The "!" stops a second press from switching the aspect off. Cheetah dazes you when you are hit, so swap back before a fight.
#showtooltip /cast [mod:shift] !Aspect of the Cheetah; !Aspect of the Hawk
