Paladin macros for WoW Forever
Holy · Protection · Retribution
9 macros that make the Paladin easier to play, each with what it does. To use one, copy it, type /macro in the game's chat, click New, pick the question mark icon and a name, paste the text and drag the icon to your action bar. A macro holds up to 255 characters.
Spell names are the ones the English game client uses. Playing in German, French or Spanish? Switch this site to your client's language and the macros follow.
Reading the macros
#showtooltip- Shows the spell's icon, cooldown and tooltip on your action bar, as long as the macro has the question mark icon.
[@mouseover]- The unit under your mouse pointer, on the party or raid frames or in the world. The macro falls back to your target when there is none.
!- A "!" before a spell keeps a second press from switching it off.
/stopcasting- Cancels the spell you are casting, so the next line goes off at once.
Flash of Light on mouseover
Heals whoever is under your mouse, on the party or raid frames or in the world, without changing your target. With no one there it heals your friendly target, and you when your target is an enemy or you have none. Make the same macro for Holy Light.
#showtooltip Flash of Light /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] Flash of LightDivine Favor and Holy Light
A sure critical heal for an emergency: Divine Favor, a Holy talent, then Holy Light on your mouseover, friendly target or yourself. While Divine Favor is on cooldown it simply casts Holy Light.
#showtooltip Holy Light /cast Divine Favor /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] Holy LightCleanse on mouseover
Removes a poison, a disease and a magic effect from the player under your mouse, else your friendly target, else you. Great with raid frames: no target switching while you clean up.
#showtooltip Cleanse /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] CleanseBlessing of Protection on mouseover
Protects the player under your mouse, else your friendly target, else you, from all physical attacks for 10 seconds. They cannot attack while it lasts, so it suits a healer or caster with a melee enemy on them.
#showtooltip Blessing of Protection /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] Blessing of ProtectionBlessing of Freedom on mouseover
Frees the player under your mouse, else your friendly target, else you, from roots and slows, and makes them immune to them for 10 seconds.
#showtooltip Blessing of Freedom /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] Blessing of FreedomLay on Hands on mouseover
Your biggest heal, on the player under your mouse, else your friendly target, else you. It drains all your remaining mana, so keep it for when someone is about to die.
#showtooltip Lay on Hands /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] Lay on HandsHammer of Justice, even mid-cast
Stops the heal you are casting and stuns at once, which also interrupts the enemy's spell. It hits the enemy under your mouse, or your target when there is none.
#showtooltip Hammer of Justice /stopcasting /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Hammer of JusticeRedemption on mouseover
Resurrects the dead player under your mouse, on the frames or their body, or your target when there is none. Saves clicking through corpses after a wipe.
#showtooltip Redemption /cast [@mouseover,help,dead][] RedemptionDrop your own protection
Removes Divine Protection or Blessing of Protection from you early, so you can attack again, for example when another paladin protected you by mistake. Pick any icon for it: it has no spell to show.
