Link previews for every page
A link to any dungeon, raid, slot or class now shows the Codex card in Discord, Reddit and messaging apps, and instance artwork loads far faster.
Paste a link to a dungeon, raid, item slot or class into Discord, Reddit or a messaging app, and it now shows the Codex card along with that page's own title and description. Before this, only the front page had a card, so a link to the page you actually meant arrived without one.
What a shared link shows
Share Ragefire Chasm and the preview names the page and says what is on it: the loot table for WoW Forever, the five bosses, how many drops there are, and the quests to pick up first. A link to an item slot, such as chest armour, or to a class page works the same way, so whoever you send it to can see which page it is before they click. The card itself got a new look a day later, when the Codex logo was refreshed.
Artwork that loads faster
Every dungeon and raid page opens with a wide banner of Blizzard's artwork, and the lists show a thumbnail of it. Both used to arrive at their full original size. For the new Forever dungeons those originals are 4K screenshots of several megabytes each. The banner and the thumbnails now come at the size your screen draws them, so those pages load far faster.
