WoW Forever macros for all nine classes
77 macros for WoW Forever's nine classes, each explained, with spell names checked against Forever's own changes and shown in your game's language.
Each class page on the Codex has a Macros tab. There are 77 macros across the nine classes, from 7 for warriors to 11 for priests, and each one comes with a note on what it does.
Every spell in them was checked against Forever's own spell data, since Forever renamed and reworked some of Classic's. Curse of Agony is Bane of Agony now, for example, so a warlock macro copied from a Classic guide would not work.
Adding a macro in the game
Copy the macro from the page and type /macro in the game's chat. Click New, pick the question mark icon and a name, paste the text and drag the icon to your action bar. A macro holds up to 255 characters, and every macro on the Codex fits.
If you play in German, French or Spanish, switch the Codex to that language before you copy. The macros then use your client's spell names, which is what the game expects.
Three to start with
Mages can counter a cast even while casting something of their own. The /stopcasting line cancels your spell first, and the macro goes for the enemy under your mouse, or your target when there is none:
#showtooltip Counterspell
/stopcasting
/cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] CounterspellPriests can heal whoever is under the mouse on the party or raid frames without changing target. With no one there it heals your friendly target, and you when your target is an enemy:
#showtooltip Flash Heal
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@target,help,nodead][@player] Flash HealWarlocks can put their damage over time spells up one press at a time. The sequence starts over when you change target or leave combat:
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=target/combat Corruption, Bane of Agony, ImmolateForever gave Corruption a 2 second cast, which the note on the warlock page points out.
